Major reason why Hydroponic farming has advantage over soil grown crops

Hydroponic is the modern technology of the agriculture.  Hydroponic farming in the innovating the future of agriculture  due to following reason. you can start hydroponic farming by investing small amount of money. If you have small area having less fertile soil so you can start hydroponic farming. Hydroponic farming has more benefit and more advantage over soil grown crop these are  as follow :- 1.  Faster growing  According to studies hydroponic farming is the 50% faster growing over traditional farming. This is because by providing a constant and available nutrients to the plants regular so it grow faster. this farming also eliminate the herbicide and pesticide. the nutrients are directly given to the plant through water and favorable environment also a major reason of faster growing plant. 2. Better yield According to studies hydroponic farming produces 80% higher yield because you can mange the nutrients and environment condition like temperature, light, mo...

How multiple cropping system using in improved agronomic practices

As we all know India is the largest producer of agriculture product.  Agriculture sector contribute  17-18% GDP in the national economy.

In this blog we will discuss about multiple cropping system and how it using in improving agronomic practices.

Firstly we will discuss what is multiple cropping and its type?

It is a practice of growing two or more crops in a same piece of land during a single growing season.

It i a form of polyculture.

Type of multiple cropping :-
  • Sequential cropping
  • Inter cropping
  • Multi stored cropping

Lets discuss about the how it improving the agronomic practice :-

1. Improve soil quality :-

A good quality soil must have good soil tilth, good soil drainage, large population of microorganism,  sufficient level of essential nutrient, and low weed.
The multiple cropping reduce chemical fertilizer.
In this cropping pattern the legume crops help in the soil fertility by fixing nitrogen in the soil.

2. Reduce the risk of loss :-

With multiple cropping the risk of total loss from droung, pests, and disease is reduced some of the crops can survive and produced a yield.

3. Suppressing weed :-
Due to high planting density weed are suppressed.
The high planting density is defined as increasing plant population per unit area for increase production. In HPD plant density in excess of which give maximum yield and also help in suppressing weed.

4. Fertilizer management:-
The multiple cropping also help in managing the fertilizer management. Because in multiple cropping the legume plants help in soil fertility by fixing the nitrogen and also improve the Water capacity which may reduce use of fertilizer.

5. Maximum production :-
In multiple cropping system two or more crops are planted in a same piece of land in a same season which also may be benefit of high production.
In high planting density the increase in the no. Of plant in per unit area for maximum yield. In this system diff type of crops are planted in a small land and produces more benefit.

6. Helps in nitrogen fixation :-
In multiple cropping the legume in the cropping pattern help in soil fertility by fixing nitrogen in the soil. The legume plants has rhyzobium bacteria in plant nodule which help in fixing nitrogen.
